Project finance: the fundamental aspect of project finance is concerned not so much with providing financial support for a company or group of companies as with making the financing of a project possible. Besides the financial aspect, the planning, managerial handling, co-ordination of partners and monitoring of finances take on an importance that is by no means negligible. It is emphasised moreover that these are mostly far-reaching transactions, which therefore require somewhat long timescales.

“R&M” deals with the analysis of the project, co-ordination between the partners, the feasibility study (business plan) plus the administrative and documental aspects of the transaction together with the other parties involved. It handles the financial problems, finding the necessary coverage, negotiating guarantees and conditions, identifying the financial backers/partners and concluding the necessary operating agreements on the best market conditions.
